Janice Baur

Broker/Associate

Jan was born and grew up in Independence, Missouri, where she graduated from William Chrisman High School, class of 1959. She graduated from Northwestern University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Journalism. That summer, Jan moved to Gainesville, Florida, where she has resided ever since. She began her real estate career in 1976, after her three children were in school. She was a founding co-broker and co-owner of Ed Baur REALTORS. In 1992, the firm merged with Trend Realty, where she became a co-broker and co-owner. While at Trend, Jan was the chief financial officer as well as sales manager at the Tower Road and High Springs branch offices. During this time, Jan was also a very active member of the Gainesville Alachua County Association of REALTORS, (GACAR) serving several terms on the Board of Directors of both GACAR and MLS. She was a member of various committees throughout the years, and served as Chair of Professional Standards, Chair of Ethics, and Chair of the MLS committees. In 1999, she was elected President of GACAR. She retired from Trend in 2015, although she remained active as the broker-owner of Professional Referrals, Inc., a real estate referrals company. Jan enjoys working with people, and is very excited to be “back in the game” and working with her daughter, Jennifer Lee, at Campus to Coast Realty.
